The Primorsky Interdistrict Prosecutor's Office has approved an indictment in a criminal case against Vyacheslav Shutov, a resident of the Vologda region. He is accused of committing crimes under Part 1 of Article 280 and Part 1 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public calls for extremist activities; inciting hatred or hostility, as well as humiliating human dignity).
According to investigators, in 2011, while living in the village of Katunino in the Primorsky district, Shutov, due to personal animosity towards Caucasians, Jews, and Judaists, repeatedly accessed the Internet using his personal computer, where on his VKontakte social network page, he publicly posted a number of extremist statements, photographs, and a video titled "Russia with a knife in its back," aimed at inciting interethnic and religious hatred and hostility, in the form of calls, encouraging actions against the ethnic groups "Jews" and "Caucasians" and the religious group "Judaists."
