Elves in the top corner, knights in the bottom corner, and the remaining slots filled with one knight each. Dragons attack (they can only reach the center). Elves shoot. Single units move to protect the elves. After that, it depends on the situation – you can remove the defense and attack with knights – fewer losses, but the elves will take some damage. Or, attack without removing the defense – more knights will be lost, but the elves will be unharmed. It takes a total of 2 or 3 rounds. If there are grand units with magic, then I don't think it's worth trying.
