17.01.2013 Amiloo (red, random, castle, Turis, Turis) def Heroin (blue, random, stronghold, Oris, Galtran) skirmish 143 There was 1 rest left, but decent meat, Griffin Conservatory, a couple of crypts and an external dwelling pick tilt the scales toward playing. On week 1 I took a secondary, cleared 3 small crypts at home, 1 gold mine behind snakes, built 1234 in the Citadel. On day 121 I checked the Griffin Conservatory — 1-stacks with Grand Strikes. I handle it with the loss of a few swarms of gargoyles and griffins. As a cockroach I take the 2nd gold mine, also behind griffins. Overall all the guards are very pleasant (mummies, ogres, bulls). Turis gets a spell book, has basic earth, slow, shield, but only 10 mana. 123 with a charge on the angel I burst into the treasure zone through ogres, then more ogres for a cloak +3 rounds, then another 100 rags for I don't know what, leveled up advanced attack and expert morale. And I reach Galtran, replenishing mana in the village tower. Final fight: 1 angel, 31 archers, 70 halberdiers, 7 swordsmen, 4 griffins vs 23 orcs, 7 thunder birds, 60 skeletons, and a few wolves and goblins. I realize the archers win the shooting duel, and by a good margin, but I forgot the angel isn't on wait because of morale and threw it away charging into enemy ranks. But 19 surviving archers and negative morale on the birds brought the battle to victory. 60 halberdiers, 5 swordsmen, and 6 archers remain. However the opponent doesn't surrender, but also doesn't rush to cheat with magic, just runs away with everything. I start slowly moving toward him, set up a charge on his gold mine :fp: and then the remnants of his meat (30 wolves, 40 goblins, 30 gremlins) chase Turis into the tavern and attack the mine with the army. The army wins, the meat remnants are crushed, but the opponent doesn't surrender. Turis takes this as an offer to go farm the map, which he does. On week 3 with growth I devour a bunch of Pandora's boxes, leveled up nicely, got expert earth, attack, and logistics, took a Chain of +4, the green external dwelling, a prison for 100 grand griffins with Orrin at level 20. Well, and on week 4 a godlike Turis destroyed blue. Thanks for the game!
Confirmed. I made a few mistakes, first on day 124 I stupidly didn't pass all the meat to Gosha, who took the castle, and as a result simply threw Goshana away, when there were still 20+ wolves, 40 caps, a few hobgoblins, and 14 orcs, and that would have been a win or at least red would have left with nothing. And almost immediately the opponent makes a serious mistake — the second one (the first was in the battle for Tower when red stupidly sent the angel to die, thinking it would return :smile52: , but not this time) — leaves the army in the mine and stays the night on 6 archers, maybe on the 6th week rather than the 4th, apparently that was supposed to decide something for red's strategy. I attack — buyout — and then instead of defending the mine or going to the castle or doing many other things I could have thought of, I attack the mine and throw the game away, the end. Thanks for the game! Good tournament, but good things in moderation! Good luck to all:)
