The map was tricky, so we decided to go for the Tavern upgraded dwelling (just in case there are no giant external dwellings :D ) + building up in the ramp.
The start was good; on day 1-1-1 we had 8 heroes, including Tazar, Crag Hack, and Aeryn level 5 with expert Scout. I picked up a free Ring of Speed. There's an external dwelling of green dragons and a couple of Dragon Fly Hives. Sword +6 and Head of Legion from ogres.
Sticky's most interesting stuff is Luna with +3/3 spell power/knowledge, a Pendant, and a Dragon Utopia.
On 1-1-2, I found a unique external dwelling and a couple more Dragon Fly Hives. Crag Hack at the log and stables. Tazar took out the ogres for the sword. I have 5-9 Archangels + 10-19 Devils, and possibly also KobRa's group to break 50+ Archmages. Sticky has 5-9 Arch Devils.
On 1-1-3, Aeryn takes a village and a unique external dwelling. A scout hero is bought and takes a minimal Dragon Fly Hive. I chain carry to the second one, but it's strong, so I decide to wait for the next day when Tazar arrives. Tazar along the way crushed some Griffin Guards for a Shield +3/3 and a dragon external dwelling. The chain goes further, and Crag Hack takes out 50+ Golems for a Pandora's Box, but he doesn't have time to claim it — the time runs out.
On 1-1-4, Crag Hack takes a swamp village, builds a guild there, buys a spellbook, returns for the Pandora's Box (15k XP). He levels up his logistics and wisdom, and also gets a second scout and a base defense stat. He takes a unique external dwelling. The chain goes to Tazar, who takes a Pandora's Box for 10-19 Griffin Guards (gold) and a maximum Dragon Fly Hive. Then, giving everything back to Aeryn, she takes out 10+ Gorgons for another Dragon Fly Hive. Sticky has a box covering the entire surface, unfortunately only with advanced wisdom, no external dwellings; he builds a guild.
On 1-1-5, I buy all available heroes since there's no more room in the Dragon Fly Hives. I take a gnome hovel and a couple of Dragon Fly Hives with scout heroes. I carry everything to Crag Hack; he takes another Pandora's Box for boars (5k XP) and advances his defense. He heads toward KobRa's group; stats: 18-10-3-5; army: 32 Griffins, 13 Grand Elves, 1+1 unique, and about 6 Harpies, with a scout hero having more. Sticky got 80 Gremlins from a free box, bringing his total to 200, and built a level 4 guild — junk spells.
On 1-1-6, Crag Hack takes out the Archangels, immediately captures the central castle (just a couple of moves away), buys Gremlins and Gargoyles there, and takes out the Devils. We mowed them down like crazy, damn. One green player remained whom he didn't take at the group; 1 Grand Elf, 29 Griffins, and a few Gremlins with Gargoyles. We still need to hit KobRa's group too :( I decide to fall back, while Crag Hack goes to replenish his mana — he got crushed. On the fly, Sticky and I debated what's more profitable: rebuilding the 4th guild or building the 5th; we decided to rebuild the 4th — there was Town Portal! (As it turned out later, the 5th had Fly, which would also have been very cool.)
Then we decided to take the Dragon Utopia at Sticky's respawn with Crag Hack. On his turn, he uses Town Portal to grab the army and positions everything near the Dragon Utopia.
1-1-7: I get Crag Hack crushed in the snow, and take a level 3 Dragon Utopia. It had chocolate, КВ, КО, and Gladius! I give the army and artifacts to Sticky.
1-2-1: Crag Hack gets crushed back home and goes to the stables and well, picking up speed along the way on a Pegasus group. I left the army near the castle because we planned to attack the green Castle. Sticky takes the army and carries it to the central castle; there he buys out Luna and breaks KobRa's group of Archmages, uses scout heroes to grab a Fire resistance booster and +4 spell power. He runs to the green player's respawn with last week's army, but even with Dimension Door we can't reach it. However, a scouting reveal shows that the Castle has a Citadel, meaning what we feared — Archangels, so it'll take a couple of days for sure.
Luna uses Town Portal to my secondary town so Crag Hack can take a Dragon Utopia in the center from there.
1-2-2: KobRa captures our central castle with significant parameters, but the army consists of 100+ Wolves, fewer than 20 Griffins, and a couple of Angels — just enough for one Armageddon.
Plan to cover her in the castle with a group of Efreetis; to do that, we need to check with a scout hero what's there and how. There happens to be a Necromancer on Pegasi who can reach it. They have +2 speed, but we have +1, and Sticky will place a group of Efreetis on that day — that's enough.
Crag Hack takes the army and artifacts from Luna and takes a good Dragon Utopia in the center, then also a Griffin Conservatory. He could have reached a couple more prisons, but we decided not to risk it. I use Town Portal to boost Luna, otherwise she won't make it, but I miscalculated and got crushed in my main town, and from there I couldn't reach her at all . On Sticky's turn, we thought for a long time, but there was no way out; in the end, Sticky boosted in his main town on a group of Efreetis, and I in my secondary on Pegasi.
1-2-3: I recapture the central castle with Crag Hack and get crushed into the secondary town for boosting. The blue players set up a chain to eat a couple of prisons and a Dragon Utopia with a Dragon Fly Hive in the center. We decide to rush there with two groups of Efreetis to deny them at least a couple of prisons and take the second central town. Sticky reaches the first hero there — Brissa, level 20 with expert four elemental magics, plus Catapult and Accuracy, all artifacts. She goes further because Luna has low movement points, and she redeems herself from the scout hero. Brissa takes the second prison: Halon with expert logistics — clearly an Inferno in the center. Sanya sits there with all her might. Brissa attacks, and we have the first turn in any case because Catapult + Armageddon wipes out everyone, and artifacts spill out of Sanya. Brissa uses Town Portal from there just in case, as she didn't have much mana left. The opponents surrender.
Thanks everyone for the game!
