How to break through the Gate of Oblivion on Jebus in week 2?

Game 127 lost. It wasn't worth going for that pitiful relic, especially considering it's a 3-day journey away. This is obvious without even looking at the save file. Although, it's possible there was a way to capture him using a chain of heroes. Capture him with the main hero, split the army, and buy him out at the castle. Or, use some weak hero to break him, while the main hero runs to the Gate of the Abyss. The turn order passes the army along the chain, allowing for an earlier exit.
