Play more aggressively. Forbid yourself from building a magistrate in the first week, except in one case: playing as Dungeon, taking a high-level hideout in the first week, using a portal, and buying out resources both there and elsewhere. Forbid yourself from building a capitol before the third week. If you have less than 5 heroes in the second week, give up and concede the victory to the computer. If you have less than 7 heroes in the third week, it's a disgrace; the computer is the champion.
You'll get more enjoyment and satisfaction from a dynamic game...
Interesting approach. Are we talking about leveling up 7 heroes and sending them out to clear out neutrals, defend mines and hideouts, and rush the enemy? Or is it for a chain of passing the army to 2-3 main heroes?
The idea is interesting; tell me more.
By the way, regarding the ease of playing against the computer... I banned myself from using Diplomats and Necromancers with their resurrection and necromancy (when I had 3000 skeletons by the third month). Then I banned resurrection altogether, simply not using it, as it was already too easy. In the editor, I set the settings, removed unnecessary spells in the castles, disabled useless secondary skills and heroes for the computer, disabled useless artifacts, and gave the enemy all the good basic skills... I went to great lengths :) This is how I spent a month at the dacha during the rainy season without internet :) But now I want to try playing online or offline according to the rules, and I also really want to play Heroes 6. I finished Heroes 5 with all the expansions a year ago, and I really enjoyed it; I want to try Heroes 6 too :)
Also, for me, it's important that I can always interrupt at ANY moment and step away, but with 2-3 minutes per turn... you have to wait for someone, bother them, because someone might call me at any time except at night... so I'll try online sometime :)
I'm also interested in templates; I need to install them, because the standard template often teleports with artifacts, and there's no balance.
And regarding hiring heroes... taking heroes with specializations like mysticism... eagle eye... or something similar that's useless... it's somehow even annoying and I don't want to... or am I wrong?
