ariputra, thanks for the link to Alexander Koloyev's article! I read it. The author is great: concise, expressive, and to the point!:smile20: I logged in, liked it. I'm ready to agree with every word! Perhaps, it's worth quoting some statements:
Okay, religion. If someone wants to believe in a cosmic alien Jew, let them continue to believe. But the situation with esotericism is completely different, even though part of esotericism originated from Buddhism and religions of the Hindu type. Esotericism is not based on faith, but supposedly on secret knowledge. Esoterics don't say that you need to believe in the existence of chakras or the influence of planets on us, but they directly state that this is actually the case, it's just that not everyone knows it yet. Moreover, they criminally try to justify their nonsense with scientific methodology: on the Internet, you can find thousands of films that supposedly prove the existence of the soul, chakras, subtle bodies, and other nonsense. Criminal, because misleading people is fraud, for which they should be put in jail. How can anyone think that some shamans-gurus who lived in ancient times could know more about the world and about humans than modern scientists who have split the atom and deciphered the human genome? If you want to know yourself and the world, why not read a textbook on quantum physics? Try to understand the structure of deoxyribonucleic acid? Or at least just read popular science literature? Is it difficult? Not smart enough? Well, of course, it's much easier to completely turn off your brain, start listening to lectures on Vedic astrology, fortune-telling by palmistry, or even meditate. And, unfortunately, there will always be more such people. Why? Because of the simple reason that in our world, manure prevails over pearls, ore over metal, pop music over symphonies, and scum over decent people. A country that sent the first person into space is sliding into a new Middle Ages. Esotericism is a surrogate spirituality. When esotericists say that they are spiritually developed, I want to answer: "No, you are just mentally ill." Will these "spiritual" people build spaceships? Invent a cure for cancer? Create masterpieces of art? Obviously not. Because instead of brains, a rotten mush is bubbling under their skulls, in which words like "aura," "astral," "chakras," "karma," "soul," "spirituality" float like sh*t. I would freeze all those who practice magic, cleanse karma... seal them in steel containers and send them to a radioactive waste storage facility. Perhaps, after a couple of thousand years, after a period of decay, waking up in a new world that has buried primitive superstitions, they would turn into normal people.
:smile01: I would act more humanely: I would send all charlatans to a deserted island from which it is impossible to escape and where there is no connection to the world, after making sure that there is enough water and food and no large predators. And to a neighboring island - soldiers dreaming of world domination, where they would sort things out with each other using fists, clubs, and stone axes! :)

You shouldn't have written that: now I clearly understand what level this "scientist" is! His works can definitely be found on the same shelf as such writings as "Dream Book," "3000 Siberian Healer's Spells," "Fortune-telling by Cow Dung," and other junk. It reminds me of the wonderful "Excellent Girl of Easy Virtue":

:) And I actually believe in the great power of stones: it's not for nothing that they say "A cobblestone is the weapon of the proletariat"! Let's say, an opponent in an argument says to you: "This conspiracy theory of yours is nonsense!", and you hit him on the head with a stone - and that's it, silence, the discussion is over! :D (here "you" is not a transition to "you," but only a figure of speech)
