I would like to ask the experienced players which L-map strategies they consider good. Or is playing on L-maps generally not popular? I must admit, such a categorical rejection of L-maps puzzles me. After all, 90% of games used to be played on them.
Games on L-maps, with rare exceptions, are usually like this: you restart successfully, gather resources, and then see what the map offers. On XL-maps, the map layout also plays a role, but the percentage of meaningful games where you win against the opponent as a person, and not just because of your/their map layout, is significantly higher.
