Overall, the map is quite enjoyable. However, I got the impression that the existing variability doesn't quite match the difficulty level. If you're not feeling particularly sharp, like me, you should play as Necropolis. You'll be able to easily defeat the early-game enemies starting from the second or third week. As for the other factions, they seemed a bit too challenging for the average player. Although, it's possible that my perception was influenced by the specific state of mind I was in on January 1st and 2nd. I started with the Elves, who had 30 archers. When the Orcish script activated (there was nothing else to do around), and the second Orc appeared, they combined their armies on their second turn. I sadly scratched my head and started playing as Necropolis. And as Fuchs used to say, even cigarette butts will sprout with enough alcohol... I should try playing as the Dark Elves at least.
