Shades of Darkness - Discussion

who needs your necromancy? what we really need is more Darkness, but necromancy... pfft.

I was hoping they would tell the story of the elves splitting into dark and "light" factions, introducing two new races at once. That would have been epic. I forgot the name of that event... but in "Heroes of Might and Magic V" there were many interesting references to the time when the elven people split into two parts, one of which fled into the dungeons. Something like that.
