Tactics are highly desirable. As for the system, it's generally the same – surround valuable troops with cheap spearmen. If there's any remaining troops from the third hero, it's a good opportunity to eliminate them. For example, the fish from Calt or golems would work well. Once the front line is broken, protect the archers, but try to punish the enemy. Before attacking, check if the number of angels will decrease after the attack or not. I think everything is clear about removing retaliation. It would be good to have some magic, but I usually don't manage to do that.
Regarding Gurney. The probability of Gurney appearing in the first week when playing as Fortress is not high enough to build the entire strategy solely around him. Usually, in the first week, the main attack stack consists of archers, although in the case of having and conveniently located wells, the attack stack can also be Luna and Ciel. Therefore, it makes sense to practice taking the angel's lair in the first week with archers.
