I got a triple build – two native secondary castles + a hidden Naga Castle (I found out later). The resource situation was decent. Nella got air and ranged units. The chain buildings were going well, but we were playing at 2 AM (which is very late for me), and I made a mistake on turn 114 and bypassed the guard post because there was snow everywhere. I went to the side and turned, even though it was obviously a different zone. I decided not to continue; I think this was a technical defeat. This was my fourth online game, and I didn't want to start with cheating. Tazar came with a minimum number of troops, the Lizardmen weren't built, and, most importantly, there was only one path leading from the Castle. Well, what can you do? We have to play. The heroes spread out, and... they didn't find any gold, but they needed to build. Tazar broke through one block into the underground, and there were a lot of Lizardmen on the other side. The army is moving, and Ignis is hitting the Golems. And there were a decent number of Golems, and they don't have a melee attack penalty. The result: minus two Wyverns, a Fort, and both heroes have blocked paths that they can't break through with that army. There's a hidden stash of Cows behind the Elves. It's unclear what to attack with. The Moon comes, of course, I take it, and I take resources from the Top-units with one Dragonfly (the Crematorium is great). As a result, I can develop the Moon (there's a Well) and hope for Armageddon in the Inferno secondary Castle, where there's also a hidden stash of Pitfiends. But I don't have the enthusiasm to demonize or hide with the Moon for 4-5 weeks, so I decide to surrender. Thank you for the game. In general, I looked at the reports, and these aren't newbies at all. I think I jumped into the tournament too early. I ask that you either replace me or consider this a technical defeat for the other players. I'll keep practicing in friendly games.
