You are partially right. Humans indeed possess immense potential given to them by God. However, they don't know how to use it properly, and it's unlikely they will learn now. Remember the phrase? "If people had even a grain of faith, they could move mountains." Humans develop by focusing on their intellect and physical strength, although they are capable of much more with their minds (please note the difference between intellect and reason/consciousness). This method of development is faster and more progressive, but less promising. To put it in gaming terms, people level up their strength, receiving a bonus when gaining experience, but they will be easily defeated by those who level up their minds, even if there is a thirty-level difference in their favor. The latter is just a simplified analogy.
