I somehow managed to get through this MASTERPIECE from 3DO once.

I created a Lich without any walkthroughs. In the Russian version, after entering a capsule, a glass door closed behind me, and then my mage turned into a Lich.
I remember eyes flying around in that room.

But in my case, it was the opposite: I was killing everything that moved without rest. My party consisted of some warrior (I don't even remember, not even approximately), some warrior (a gladiator... I think, he dealt either 8 or more attacks at a time, I gave him two +1 attack spears, resulting in 4 attacks at once just from the spears, and then something else added to his attacks, either weapon proficiency or something else), a mage-druid (I wanted a cleric, but because I had a falling out with the church, I couldn't complete the quest, and it was impossible to reconcile. But I didn't regret becoming a druid. I remember there was a good quest for him. I remember a talking tree. It gave me some artifact, and I remember being happy about it for a long time. In general, in the end, my druid dealt more attacks at once than the gladiator, and he was completely naked. I gave him all the points in melee combat and kept adding to it throughout the game, and he attacked more often, stronger, and more.

And the fourth was a mage-lich (I didn't use spells at all, I don't really remember how he became a Lich. I remember that the only useful spell was Beacon, maybe something else, but I don't remember).

In general, I have a lot of memories left from this game. It's VERY interesting, I "recommend" everyone to play it.
