In my case, the losses were: 4 unupgraded goblins and 1 pixie:)

If you upgrade to 12 0 1 1, you can lose even fewer units ;)
Therefore, capturing the bear lair is just a matter of tempo. If you capture it with 111, you can do much more with the monster.
