I believe that such a database is only possible for a single save file. That is, different maps can have different sets of 255 trees. Isn't that right?

If the database is only for a specific save file, then it wouldn't make sense for online games. Therefore, we are talking about a universal database here, although I don't understand if it is even possible. It would be nice if those who believe it is possible could provide at least one example for any hero. (Personally, I am still skeptical that it will work).
