Yes, I played very slowly; it took 3 days to reach the secondary town, and a week to get there. Then, not seeing a path (whether to go into the snow or take a 9000+ movement point route across the stones), I decided to attack some random players, who turned out to be quite strong... And after them, the path to the Horn became clear.
