HoMM3 HD 3.23f

3.22 -> 3.23 (10.12.2012)

General:

[-] WT crashed when attempting to start a new game.
[-] The map could be generated with a template different from the one selected.

[+] The updater has been improved, and the ability to roll back the update has been added.

Versions 3.21 and 3.22 were missing a file necessary for the updates to function properly.
It is recommended to delete these versions and install 3.23 from scratch.

Although you can do without it, during the update, after the error message "Cann't launch HD3_Update.exe.
Try to launch it manually," you need to run the HD3U.exe file, and then it is desirable to delete HD3_Updater.exe, and rename the HD3U.exe file to HD3_Update.exe (you no longer need to run this HD3_Update).

For those who want to test the version 3.23 updater,
in the options of the ini file, change the value of the UpdateServer parameter to https://dl.dropbox.com/u/56675299/Test
HD will start offering to update to version 3.24 beta 1 (it does not differ from 3.23 in anything except the version number)
if you agree to the update, everything should proceed automatically.
after the update, HD3_Backup.exe will appear in the game folder, running which will revert to 3.23
