God... What is the irresponsibility in the work of the Hungarians? Which of their obligations to the publisher were not fulfilled? What is this nonsense? If anyone is to blame for the complete failure, it is the publisher. Although this company can hardly be called that. They are the most real scammers. Hiring a small company for a large-scale project, cutting their funding, shortening deadlines, and making changes to the gameplay at the final stages – yes, that's normal. The only thing the developers failed at is the legal aspect. If they had qualified lawyers on staff, they would have rejected such a contract immediately, when the publisher gets complete freedom of action.
Do you work at Ubisoft or Black Hole? If not, IMHO, getting involved in someone else's dirty laundry is not the best idea. It's good if at least half of what that Black Hole guy said in that remote message was true. It's not very fair to judge such things when we only know the position of one side.
That message, of course, didn't mention the mistakes that Black Hole made. And we are unlikely to ever know if BH actually fulfilled all its obligations to Ubi on time. The game's release was postponed at least twice, as far as I remember. So, as for the deadlines, I think it was more about extending them than shortening them.
Ubi also forced Nival to make changes to Heroes 5 at the final stages of the game. But for some reason, this did not affect the quality of the fifth installment as much as it did the sixth.
