We restarted the game. The map was decent, no hidden resources, but Vistan had three stacks, and the second hero had no archers.
On the first day, I took a dungeon in the basement, and built houses 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6 in the castle. There are conscripts for diamond golems and Pandora.
On the second day, I broke through to the Necropolis secondary town, took artillery for ranged attacks, and won the next battle. The opponent chased after me and lost to bulls in the treasure room. He didn't take auto-battle.
