It's just that for a person who doesn't play Heroes online and has paid money for the stream, it would be quite unpleasant to see a broadcast of VT—a modification they might not even know about. All of this, naturally, is aimed at the masses, in order to attract as many viewers as possible and, accordingly, more money. If the target is the local audience, then of course VT is fine.
