Are you in favor of electing Moderators?

I completely agree. I personally select moderators for each of the three hero sections, and I consult with other moderators. It is very important that the moderator is a reasonable person, and not someone who simply received more votes from friends, and then starts assigning points to everyone and participating in conflicts.

I would really like to know what Pavel wanted to say by creating this topic? Is he dissatisfied with the current composition of the moderators? Are there people who would like to become moderators, but they are not allowed?

Elections are fairer (i.e., the principle of equality of rights is observed) than appointments... If a moderator behaves inappropriately, they will receive their 25 violation points and be removed. What is the problem? And why should they behave inappropriately? Yes, it is not a fact that we will avoid voting for friends. But it is also not a fact that an inappropriate moderator will come as a result of voting for friends.

In general, I am in favor of giving users the right to choose (if, of course, this right to choose is needed by the users themselves).
