To Vigo or not to Vigo? That is the question.

Many believe that Vigo is most likely an "honest" player who doesn't use cheats or maphacks. The problem, as Dirty correctly pointed out, is that there is evidence of a third party playing as Vigo, namely Vetalik, who cannot function without maphacks.
Why is the word "honest" in quotation marks? Because this is happening with Vigo's knowledge, including Vetalik playing with maphacks. =)

Perhaps someone who is so eager to defend Vigo's honor can suggest how to proceed in this case? Should we take Vigo's word of honor?
