How do I take a screenshot?

I can't figure out how to take a screenshot of the game. I've looked everywhere, but when I try to take a screenshot using the PrtSc button and then pasting it into Paint, I just get a black screen. When I check the screenshots folder, there are 3 random screenshots that I didn't take myself.
