A game of Heroes takes at least two real hours, if not more (if you include breaks, let's say one break after every 113 turns, and another mandatory break at the end of every other game day. If each turn takes 6 minutes, then (6*5 + 6*4) + (6*4 + 6*3) = 54 + 42 = 96, which is roughly one and a half to two hours. Then, another two weeks of gameplay without epic battles, which adds another two and a half hours. All this rough math boils down to the fact that you don't want to waste your time; you want to encounter serious resistance in the final stages so you can be surprised and see something new. That's why strong players choose strong opponents, and that's normal. I think that if the opportunity arises, someone might play with you as an exception, but only if there's a specific goal for the game. I think players with high skill will be happy to have a worthy opponent in their ranks, and the heroic world will become more interesting.
