What skills should Necromancers take when facing Orcs on a very large map?

I don't remember how many castles the Necropolis had. I had 2. Subordination was present, but it only worked once, and even then, it didn't mean much with a scarecrow. The Necropolis's army was almost twice as large, but I didn't play without losses, but I think the Necropolis didn't benefit from it anyway.
