By the way, "person of Caucasian nationality" is an idiom

One idiot said it, and everyone else keeps repeating it. It would be more correct to say "of Caucasian appearance" at least... because people don't say "person of Slavic nationality," they say "person of Slavic appearance," and so on.

and for some reason I've never once heard a Pole, for example, shout that no one dares to generalize his people with Czechs.

Uh-huh, go to Kosovo and tell an Albanian that he is a Yugoslav.... you'll be hanged on the spot. So there's plenty of all this in Eastern Europe, and not only... in the East, if you mistake a Korean for a Chinese person, you'll also face consequences.
