Initially, SK2TV rules had us playing on 2-minute [timers], but then, when the HeroesWorld crew joined the scene, they rigged it to 4 minutes. 4 minutes on M with average monsters! Naturally, there was less mental strain, and the thrill just wasn't the same.

IMHO, no positive changes should be expected in the community. You can make your own sandbox according to your interests.
