They could. But the Mafia has 3 non-voting members. 1 block, okay. 2 - it would definitely have been poisoning or a double-check. So, if no one dies tomorrow, then there's a Mafia member among you. I also suspect that the Baron might have been blocked, but it's not certain that the Mafia would have used him.
