Thoughts on the scenario after completing "Hammers of Fate".

I was just reminded of Godric's death scene: before he died, he said to Friede, "someday I will share the joy of victory with you, but now...", and then Elrat said, "remember his words...", but I don't remember Godric appearing to Friede after Biara was killed. I don't understand, what did Elrat and Godric mean? And why, if Elrat could so easily destroy Laslo, didn't he kill Alaric? Did he want more of his followers to die? I doubt that the dragon couldn't kill a demon worshiper who killed hundreds of people...
