2Vaflya, everything you listed is just pointless philosophy. I'm interested in what specific points could prevent a SOD player from having a normal game in "Might and Magic with SOD"? Well, there's no necromancy, some heroes have different skills than in SOD. There's slow movement on the second level, and DD in water magic. The value of some artifacts has changed. Weak secondary skills have been strengthened (resistance, scouting, first aid). You can get used to this after playing a game or two.

If you compare chess with Fischer chess and Swedish chess (baghaus), these are fundamentally different games, but any chess player can sit down and play any of the versions.
