HoMM3 HD is a mod (add-on) for the game Heroes of Might and Magic 3.

In short, I'm sure the problem is in the files. I don't know which ones exactly. I copied all the HD mod files to another version and launched it there – the same problem occurred. Maybe something is wrong with the DLLs, or maybe with the launcher, I don't know.

First, it started complaining about a foreign executable (because I put it in the Russian version), then I launched the HeroesHD executable, which was already created, using the launcher in this Russian version. And here's the result.

I figured it out! Damn! This is a bug in the mod, starting with version 2.94.
By pressing [Ctrl]+[V]/[Shift]+[Ins] in the text input field, you can insert one character more than the allowed maximum.
In this case, the player's name in the game is set to: Champion of noobs [RU, but the maximum allowed is: Champion of noobs [R. You should make the player's name one character shorter in the multiplayer settings, and the bug will disappear. Who knows what this bug could lead to in other text input fields...

It will be fixed in the next release!
