That's exactly it. They couldn't try it (didn't figure out the game), so in their opinion, the game is garbage.

That's exactly why they complained and went on to upgrade IDENTICAL creatures; they remain fools, while the fox is smart.

Compared to previous and subsequent parts, they are identical. In the end, many more people play at a casual level than at a tournament level. And you know all these complaints yourself; you've heard them many times, so why beat a dead horse?
