Being good with computers doesn't necessarily mean you know how to configure a router.

I said, "putting it simply." The point is that people who (putting it simply) don't understand computers are generally completely unfamiliar with everything related to it; they have a vague idea of what the internet is and how it gets into their home, so there's no point in even talking about configuring a router.
Of course, that's true. You don't necessarily have to be a super-skilled IT professional to configure a router.
