NiKShoKer, I remembered a few things from what Ubi said. Maybe this isn't everything they talked about:

New factions, unlike Haven and Sanctuary, will not contain elementals. Sylvan will not have Earth elementals, and Dungeon will not have Darkness elementals. They don't plan to replace the Luminaries and River Spirits with other units or change their models.

Some factions cannot exist without dragons in their creature lineup.

Things that didn't fit into the world were removed, including gremlins, kobolds, trolls, and gnolls.

The large number of female creatures was a design decision when the creature lineups were revised. Also, Ashan is a world of equal opportunities.
