You want to live in a post-industrial world and still passionately argue about national issues; you want to travel freely abroad and yearn for Stalin; you desire prosperity and still hate freedom! Fools argue about whether Jews are good or bad, whether Russians are better than everyone else, whether it is necessary to believe in God, and whether all foreigners should be expelled from the capital – and they don't understand that this is not up for discussion, because it is not the Middle Ages, and it is not Saudi Arabia.

A person who is not responsible for what he says, afraid of responsibility in general, and therefore invents "authorities" so that in case of failure, he can refer to them. What is considered an authority is a secondary question. In the modern world, drugs and alcohol are considered evil. At the same time, it is not difficult to notice that it is they that perform the functions of natural selection, as cholera, smallpox, and cataclysms did in the past. The strongest survives.

Hence, in part, comes the common criticism of the opposition – why don't you offer anything sensible in return? The allegory of the dead horse is not very successful here, because a dead horse obviously does not contain any benefit, while any, no matter how unpleasant, boss contains the benefit that it is a boss, that is, a structuring element of society. Without this element, society descends into anarchy, which, as repeated historical experience shows, is many times worse than any order.
