KillAndAction, you (I checked) have experience in organizing tournaments, maybe you can take on this process? If I can help in any way, please contact me, my ICQ is in the thread where everyone leaves their contacts.

I suggest holding the tournament on the original or tournament version.
The maps are definitely not fixed. You can use the built-in generator (although I don't like this option). It's better to use IRMG or, at worst, play on a fan-made map.
We will think about the tournament scheme based on the number of potential participants and their skill level.
I can take on the organization and judging (I have enough experience).
