:) I tried it. I've done this before. When you transfer a hero to a garrison. And then you go through the specified menu, it's called "Overview of the entire kingdom," that hero is not there.
There are two modes in the Kingdom Overview. Hero overview and city overview. By default, the hero overview mode is active; you need to switch to city overview mode.
