Is this your first time drawing? Okay. Well, I can’t really judge. You’re an adult, and I started drawing in second grade. Kids don’t even learn about shading right away; they just color everything in solid. Their teachers basically show and explain everything in detail, as if they were dealing with people with Down syndrome.
I’m currently teaching kids how to draw with brushstrokes. It’s a nightmare. I always knew it was easy. Just easy. But now I have to explain it to 6-year-olds. I feel like an idiot myself. We take a brush and dip it in the paint, like this, like that, and then they just dab it on. What a bunch of idiots, haha.
