The path to the game folder is D:\Games\Heroes of Might and Magic 5 Tribes of the East - is that correct?
Publisher - Buka
The patch was downloaded from "Heroic Corner".
NoCD - a replacement for the executable file (for version 3.0, I couldn't find one for 3.1); it might be the problem.
The auto-updater displays:
"Could not find update version information. Please reinstall the sample
Missing URLs
Missing version targets"
The disc is a gold edition, and there are no bugs with it.

Please pay close attention:
1) Where is the patch installed? Perhaps it's being installed on drive C.
2) NoCD is not needed for version 3.1, so no one made it for this version. Patch 3.1 unbinds the game from the disc itself (this is definitely the case for the 1C version; the Buka version came out later, and the hackers had already forgotten about it). Using different versions of NoCD relative to the game leads to problems.
3) Was the patch version from Buka downloaded from Heroic Corner? There is also a patch version from 1C, and they are incompatible.
