Your favorite unit...

For some reason, I find spear throwers to be very effective – and I invested in luck, soldier's luck, and crippling strike (a very important ability that reduces the enemy's initiative and SPEED), plus there are a lot of them, and there's no penalty for close combat...
A very good unit (especially in campaigns, I almost always used them and won).
