Maybe someone can suggest what to do. I installed the English version of NWN 2 and patched it to version 1.23 using the updater. Previously, the unpatched game would launch. Now, I get the message: "Entry point AIL_set-3D_sample_distances@12 could not be found in the DLL mss32.dll."
I updated DirectX to the latest version for Windows XP SP3 (9.0c).

PS/I solved the problem by reinstalling the game on a second hard drive.
