There seems to be a rather crude understanding of the church, which naturally leads to misunderstandings. The influence of the church itself is a good thing, if one knows what a "church" is (which many probably don't, hence the mistakes). It's a different matter when bad (uninformed) segments of society try to impose their own vision, rather than the vision of the church, but hide behind it. Therefore, before discussing this, I advise you to learn what the church is and what it says, and not what politicians say, and especially not to pay attention to all-encompassing slogans. Here, one needs to fight not against the church, but against the criminal world, which positions itself as a separate body of the church, outside of its views.
