But there's a rule that you need to defeat the guard of the passage. How can you pass through a bugged passage if the guard of the passage is in another zone, and you need to defeat it?

As Captain Obvious points out, this is a different passage, and it doesn't have a guard, which is why it's called bugged. And the rules clearly state that if there is no guard at the passage, you can pass through it. And in tournaments, these passages are used; I've seen it many times in the reports.
