I've said everything I wanted to say about this, and I've said it more than once. It's incorrect to diminish the "importance" of the second component. I've already thought about this. Second place cannot have less significance if the leaders didn't show up for the game. In that case, the result of any tournament can be questioned and called a fluke, considering that there might be players somewhere who could have beaten everyone, but simply didn't show up... Each specific tournament is considered separately and regardless of whether someone didn't show up. My task is solved in a general way, and it is more acceptable for the average tournament... IMHO, as always.
