I was interested in this note. The Mafia hasn't been caught forging commander's notes, so there's a good chance it's genuine. If we follow this, then Spir has round ears and is loyal, which means he's definitely a Town member. In that case, the genuine notes from soldiers 2 and 3 are signed "Soldier No. 2" and "Your servant, who faithfully serves his Emperor."
Now, looking at Gur, he has three roles left (third, weapon, and food) and a bunch of Mafia members, but no king. However, Plesen finds evidence against Gur. Plesen has a presumably genuine note about having pointed ears and a presumably false note about loyalty, which means he could very well be the king himself. Also, Gur is inactive and could have slept through the night and missed the note, which aligns with one of the notes from the weapon today (presumably Mafia). The hardest part remains – connecting the evidence.
Although, if we consider that the commander might be sleeping, and his notes belong to the Mafia, then the whole theory falls apart. And in general, this is just speculative analysis for now, but I would like to hear opinions on this.
