...on day 141, Kyrre, tormented by one-way gates, capitulated.

At the start, lots of gold; I got carried away with respawning, and by the time I crawled out and hit a one-way gate it was already day 114, then suffering. I revealed a super treasure zone and was just about to go there when Jabarkas blocked its border with two stacks of 5+ Archangels — a cool move, gotta say.

...the reds left a weakling with the Grail at a decent, but surmountable for Monere, distance from that very swamp. Aenain with Expert Flight, Dimension Door, with speed boost and stables on the last tiles reached the swamp, Monere Town Portaled there and on the last tile reached the Grail.

There was such a good turn — after two drownings I took the opponent's main, bought water there for Mephala, portaled to a village for new treasure zones, but capped the ending with a blunder in army transport (mom was 40 MP short for another Town Portal), even though she could have easily stayed the night at home..
One could say Kostya got lucky, but luck, damn it, favors the strongest.
