I don't understand why they killed Ment. Was he somehow exposed as an Elf, or does comparing statuses give complete information about his role? Or maybe it's just personal dislike?

There's a lack of clues. The only one I could connect the lyre to so far is Nefela. And even that is too FORCED. Besides, I'm not sure if the lyre is even a clue.
