Those who want to participate will find a way; those who don't will find excuses. Business trips to the north and other work-related assignments that involve being away from civilization (the internet) are, of course, valid reasons. Illness, excessive drinking, or family issues can also be considered as force majeure. Everything else sounds more like excuses, although, of course, a significant time difference can also be taken into account. In any case, I have a HUGE request for everyone: before registering for another tournament, weigh all the pros and cons, and if the pros outweigh the cons, please show respect to the tournament organizers.
