Septima arrived immediately,

on day 1: 2 crypts at 2.5k, mini-gnome hut, Solmyr with Nagas, Djinns, and chain entered the center, Septima with Gremlins captured a Pandora's box at 20-49 Gargoyles for 5k gold and headed further into the respawn to gather resources and gold, 1-6 in the Citadel, 2 Dwellings of Gremlins, 7 heroes

on day 2: Septima with Solmyr gathered resources, another mini-gnome hut, workers in the castle finished building the 4th level of the mage guild, Solmyr scouted the Griffin Conservatory, sword +2/2, Dragon Fly Hive, and a Pandora's box behind Diamond Golems, got basic Wisdom and stayed to replenish mana in the dungeon.
At this point I started thinking I had decent chances of victory.

on day 3 captured the level-2 Griffin Conservatory with a stack of Grendel swords, Septima necroed 350+
Doubled mana to 240 (with chain 18/437), decided not to take the Dragon Fly Hive (8) and the Pandora's box off-road, already had a mix from 3 towns, ran to the center

on 134 bought up the leftovers, recolored 2 empty secondary heroes, ran into the stable and stood on the road before the unknown, awaiting victory! :)

As for the Legionnaire, mass slow and haste again, plus a strong stack of 86 Grendel demons, 25 of which were obtained from a Sage's hut for a spyglass :), 3 devils, 9 Grendel Efreet, 24 Grendel Pit Lords, an angel, 12 Wyverns.

In the FB: everything ended very quickly, mass haste and instantly minus half my army :), the chain lost its relevance.
